Never Quit on a Bad Day...

One thing I know for sure, words are powerful. Whether written or spoken, words can transform lives, destroy hopes, quell fears, inspire dreams, confirm expectations and fill us with a lifetime of experiences and possibilities.

When I begin the process of writing a Snippets article, I consider the holiday for the month and a theme that will support the holiday. Next, I pay attention for words that will fit the theme. Sometimes it’s through reading books or articles, hearing a podcast or joining a room on clubhouse and many times, it’s a client who will drop a word in my thoughts as happened with last month’s theme, ‘good enough’ from my friend Stephanie. This month considering the 4th of July celebration, I’ve collected a few influential words through quotes that came my way, reminding me of the precious freedoms we have in our country.  The quotes are in bold, followed by my insights.
Stay ready to keep from getting ready - Dr. David Jeremiah.  The most freedom I experience is wrapped around my skill of discipline.  When one is disciplined and does not postpone, one is ready…most of the time. The freedom that comes from being prepared is priceless. Don’t wait until tomorrow to do what you can do today. Be ready for possibilities.

Don’t sit in your setback…. comeback! - Tim Storey.   I absolutely appreciate these words. How many comebacks are we allowed? As many as we decide. We have the freedom for setback or to comeback. We decide…every time.

Fear is smart, until you realize you’re afraid of the wrong thing. - Kristin Hannah, The 4 Winds. Of course we carry fears within us. Fear is natural and vital for the survival of our human race. It is the beloved adversary. We love it, we hate it. Fear stops us and motivates us as well. We are free to think and feel what we want. Dig deep within yourself and ask, what am I really afraid of? Freedom to choose…fear smart.

You have to be super-human now. Do you understand what super-human means? Yes! - Becoming Duchess Goldblatt, Anonymous.  We are being called to be super-humans. Harness your courage through healthy living and rational thinking. For years we have been told we are only utilizing 10% of our human abilities. We have the freedom to explore, expand and escalate the rest of who we are. Be Super-human.

Fearless and Free.  - AZ Women of Action.   Need I say more?

Never quit on a bad day. -Rusty Tugman, Author.  When I think of the wars and victories we have earned, I can only think of the freedoms we desired. Never quit util you feel you’ve won.

Prayers are like cheers. -Santos Rios, my housekeeper’s mother.  A simple conversation with this woman steeped in her unwavering faith in God, and I know prayers for our health, families, success, country, and freedoms are being offered. Santos prays daily with the conviction of a woman secure in her divine connection. ‘We are the winners of fate to live in this country’, she says and I agree. She continues, ‘Do you know prayers are cheers to God?’ I say; 'Cheer for us Santos. Cheer for us!'

Celebrating our freedoms with love,
Hilda
